Happy Birthday with love! X 2

Today is my lovely daughters birthday. She is quite the woman! She keeps very busy.
I'm using my most recent pictures of her. She loves being a mother and she dose a great job.
You can see the love and it's there for each of her children and her wonderful husband too.

This is her with the whole family. She turns to God for guidance and wisdom.

I was 24 years old when I gave birth to my daughter. I think it was so special that she was also 24 when she had her first daughter, ON HER BIRTHDAY. She always makes sure her daughter has a special birthday celebration.

Now this is my oldest granddaughter and today is also her birthday. Here she is modeling the birthday gift we gave her. She has grown so fast and what a beautiful young lady she has become. Where has the time gone? It seems no time ago when she was as tiny and young as her new baby sister.

She has a wonderful personality and a very sweet smile.

She has recently started playing volleyball and loves it. Here she is making a serve.

She is in 4-H and has started sewing. This is the wool competition, She did a wonderful job on the wool skirt she is modeling.

Just a little makeup and she doesn't even need that to look absolutely beautiful.
I love you both very much and wish we could be there to help with the Birthday Celebration!

Enjoying God's beautiful creation.

As most of you know, my job is being a School Bus Aid which means about 4 hours a day on a school bus. Its great to get to know and love the children but an added feature to my job is the gorgeous sights. Below are some of the sights we travel by every day. These beautiful flower gardens throughout our city seem most brilliant just before the hard freeze.

These pictures were taken Oct 10th. On the 12th they all froze since it got down to 26 degrees. Most of the flower plots have been cleared by city workers and ground worked and ready for early next spring.

The many trees in our city are even more colorful now.
Oct 10th was just the start of all the color.
We have two big circular gardens at the Western part of our city. This is the upper garden, the garden below is the sunken garden.

On October 14th my husband and I had the opportunity to pleasure drive up in the hills. You can see the color against the dark bull pine hill side. As we got higher in the hills, there was a beautiful white covering of snow. Some areas had as much as 18". The ski resort actually opened early this year.

Back at home, this is our youngest daughter and our grandson before they left for home. We certainly enjoyed couple days they were here. Our hedge is colorful for fall.

These are my flowers 2 days before the frost.

Last weekend we took the Grizmobile and boat to one of our favorite lakes. The weather was perfect and so were the sights.

It's hard to believe how low this lake was just 3 short months ago. This popular landmark Island was not even surrounded by water but dry ground. It's amazing how several good rains can put about 20 feet of water in a low lake.

I will end with the nice size bass my husband caught. Fishing wasn't great last weekend but at least we didn't get skunked. I caught a nice eating size trout too.
Take time to enjoy God's beautiful art work, His creation.

The Baptism

My husband and I have had a busy day with yard work. We had our first light snow fall yesterday but today was beautiful fall weather. We took advantage of the nice day and cleaned off our garden and trimmed some tree branches and hauled it to the dump sight. I feel I deserve to relax and spend a little time looking at pictures and blogging.

October 5th at 8AM, Dad and Mom are getting our new granddaughter dressed and in her car seat. Just a little hard with the long white Baptism gown.
Before the service all the children, including her cousin sit by her and admire her.

Baptism is not something we do but God coming to us, the Word of God in and with the water, a life-giving water, rich in grace, and a washing of the new birth in the Holy Spirit.

Titus 3: 5-8 " He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us generously thorough Jesus Christ our Savior, so that having been justified by His Grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying."

This is her with the pastor and her sponsors. She is being held by our youngest daughter. Our Son-in-law couldn't be there but He also is a sponsor.

Our youngest daughter with her new niece.

She is Godparent (sponsor) for all five of the children. She loves each one dearly.

Dad with his 10 day old daughter.

I love watching our daughter with her babies.
After the service she talks with a friend about her precious fifth child.

Here we are with the family.

Grandpa (Papa) gets his turn holding the sweet little baby on her Baptism day.
Her cousin holds her when we get back to the house. He thinks she is pretty cute!
Pictures of the older 4 children on their Baptism were on display. You can see part of the Certificate of Baptism. It is so nice with gorgeous art work. Our oldest granddaughter looked at it and said, "It is so pretty it looks like angels painted it!" I thought that was sweet!

The table all set, ready for the open house.

Here she is in her white gown. It would be interesting to hear what you wore at your Baptism! I will need to ask my mother, I do know I was Baptised at 1 week old at our home since our pastor was leaving for vacation. The white gown certainly isn't necessary but it dose symbolize and remind us of the forgiveness, New birth in Christ and how God cloths us in his Grace. In Isaiah 61 :10 it says, For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness' . . . In Revelation 7 :13 -14 Then one of the elders asked me, "these in white robes who are they, and where did they come from?" I answered, "Sir, you know." and he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Just like a sleeping Angel. She has been adopted by God into His family. (Kingdom)
The cute little brown moccasins have been worn by each of the 5 children. They were also worn by their father when he was a new born. What a cute tradition for their family!
Mom shows her cute little foot with the brown suede moccasin!
She kept her Gown on for most of the day. Here I am at 4PM just enjoying the special moment.
