Hey, what did I tell you? Yep, good looking, ND Cowboy. He is single so if any of you good looking, farm loving, fun loving, christian girls are interested, let me know. We love him! 
Yep, this is our Van camper, We felt like we should write THE GRISWALD'S on the side of our old 1991 camper. We do enjoy it and it gets us where we are going so I guess that's all that matters. We stopped at a nice size lake and decided to camp at this primitive campground because it had the only walkable access to the lake. We were the only ones in the camp ground except for a heard of cattle. Would you believe everyone else chose to camp in the modern, electrical hook up camp ground. There were only 2 open slots in that one. 
The lake was rather choppy with a nice breeze blowing so it was hard to believe they actually called this campground Glass point. 
This picture was taken at 7 AM and as you can tell the lake was clear and still as glass. Now we know where it got it's name. 
This was a Historical marker on the way to ND. It is such a desolate area it felt like we were in the middle of no where. We leisurely took two days to travel to My All school reunion and also the 125th anniversary of Petersburg ND., where I and My brother graduated from Unity High School. His family and My parents live only 6 miles East of Petersburg on farms close to a VERY small town named Niagara. 
I can only imagine how excited these pioneers from 1875 must have felt as they spotted the Black Hills, just a mere shadow, far away at the south horizon. 
The Black Hills are very hard to see! OK, maybe you can see them in the lower picture. Anyway, I could actually see just a light gray shadow of the hills as I looked over the many rolling hills of farm land. I'm sure back then it was just prairie grass with no trees for miles. There still are no trees for miles.
This is my pink Wave Petunia plant that has done very good this year. It has so very many blossoms on it. This one is on the North side of our house. There are also two planters with wave petunias on the South side of the house. They are half this size but I'm sure that is due to the high temps this summer. We have had 95+ degrees the last couple of weeks and no rain for the last three weeks. Tomorrow is supposed to get 105 degrees. It is 101 degrees right now. It seems we can water and water but it barely keeps things green and alive. One shower of God's nourishing rain makes such a big difference. It is almost hard to comprehend the almighty power, control and love He has for the plants He has created. How much more then dose He care for us humans for whom He gave His only Son Jesus!
I am sorry the pictures didn't get clearer but you can at least get the idea. If you do this yourself with a Pansy you will really get the idea. This is not a true story but just something past down from generation to generation to teach how special God has created the Pansy flower and also the whole world. 
This picture should give you an idea of the many people who were in attendance at the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod LWML National Convention held in Sioux Falls from June 21 to June 24Th. This was my first time attending a national convention so there was much excitement. I also was one of the workers for SD, I was on the assisted seating and helped those with the wheel chairs and with the rented wheel chairs. There were over 5000 in attendance and I could not believe how very loud it got after each session and in the big arena halls and exhibit and display hall.
I really did enjoy the convention. There were a few Speaker's who I would have rather not been present for but most were very Christ centered, the music was great. The opening service had a lot of favorite hymn's, like," Built on the rock", " My hope is built on Nothing Less ", "A Mighty Fortress", "Rock of Ages", "One Bread, One Body", "Beautiful Savior", and Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart" Picture above is of President Linda Reiser from Nebraska as she addressed the Convention.
There was the parade of banners each made by a different LWML District. They also hung the banners for viewing. I took a few pictures. This was my favorite. It really followed the theme and just looked very different and "ROCK LIKE".
This was my second favorite banner. The words were all done with beads. It was elegant yet had the message.
This is the SD District banner. It was also very nice.
My husband and I donated the wood for these 500 center pieces. Our Mission Pastor who we help on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation made all the cross's and the 3 bible verse inscribed rocks were all assembled by LWML women. The many tables were well adorned and decorated in the dining hall.
