Uncle Gene Feb 26, 1927 - May 22, 2010

We can remember it as if it were yesterday! 22 months ago, on a warm sunny WV day, when we had the blessed opportunity to spend a day with Uncle Gene and his wife Wanda. It was a relaxing time and this is a special memories my husband shall never forget, a quiet relaxing visit with his favorite uncle. They discussed many things including heaven and all the wonderful reunions and the many old and new testament people from the Bible that we will be able to see face to face but none as important as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was a wonderful time of sharing and prayer!

This is Uncle Gene with his wife Wanda, standing at the entrance to their beautiful garden.

Uncle Gene had a beautiful pond on his land, just down from the house. He very much enjoyed the pond and the peaceful quiet of that area. Every time we were to visit, he had to take us to the pond.

This is the Gene with his wife of 57 years at that time.

Uncle Gene loved to fish and almost always caught a few fish from his pond.

Uncle Gene and Aunt Wanda sitting in their comfortable living room chairs where they have a nice window to watch birds and also look out at their flower garden. They told us all about their three loving sons and their families, sharing many photo's with us.

This is a picture of Uncle Gene when he first joined the US Army.
I don't know the exact year that this was taken but it must have been about 60 - 62 years ago. He was already a kind, gentle, good-looking young man.
Our Uncle Gene, Reverend Eugene O Harmon was a great example to all who knew him. God used him mightily to spread the gospel and Gods word.
Our thoughts and prayers are with family and loves ones left here on earth.
We celebrate at the hope of eternal joy in heaven as we trust God's forgiveness through Christ Jesus and His promise of salvation to all who believe.
We will meat Uncle Gene again in heaven.
John 11:25-26a
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live. and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.

What a nice post about Uncle Gene. I will keep the family in my prayers as they are adjusting to no longer having his company.
