South Dakota District LWML Convention May 30th and 31, 2014

This beautiful bench is a memorial of Rev Robert Utecht.  It was dedicated by the LWML and will take its place in front of the "Puppet Place" every year at the State fair in Huron, SD.   It was a beautiful dedication with prayer, slide show and family comments and memories.

Donna Utecht thanks everyone and tells special memories of her husband, Rev Bob Utecht, who was taken home to heaven Nov of 2012. .

Just a few of the large Utecht family whom Rev Bob Utecht often called  "his own tribe".

Jeff and I with Donna Utecht behind the bench. We worked hand in hand with Rev Bob Utecht for 13 years on the Reservation.   Donna still goes with as we minister to the Native American people on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

Every Zone of the SD LWML was to bring a banner, this was to follow the theme "Shout for the King" and be the size and used for a baby quilt.  Below you will see pictures of many of the beautiful banners. The convintion was started by each Zone President carrying in their banner.

This is the Black Hills Zone banner.

Pastor Daniel Redhage led the woman's group of over 200
in a information packed Bible study on the Hymnal.   He told us the Hymnal is a valuable tool, drawn from scripture with prayers for any occasion, it unites us with congregations through out the world. We know it is doctrinally correct material in line with our confessions.

Here Pastor Redhage wife Anna plays beautifully on her violin as we sing Holy, Holy, Holy.
These are all the ladies who attended the 58th Biennial  SD District LWML convention in Mitchel SD
