"ALOHA" Hawaiian Adventure #4 Sunday Brunch, Monday leisure day.

It was a beautiful calm Sunday morning for our Devotion and prayer time under the tall trees and not far from the lovely turquoise ocean and beach.        I found it very interesting that these 3 white dove like (Common fairy-tern) were sitting above us on this big tree limb.     This was the Sunday that our two newly adopted grandchildren were adopted into Gods family through the waters of Baptism.

Mathew 28:19  Therefore go and make disciples of all  nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Jeff led the devotion and Bible reading on Baptism.   It was very fitting for the remembrance of our grandchildren being baptized and also for our own remembrance of the water and word.

And yes, the three white birds were still around.

There was a man peacefully feeding birds.
After our devotion and prayer time, we went to the big major Sunday Brunch in our Hotel Banyan Tree Showroom.    We were first in line of hundreds who attend the brunch.  Our friends and the hostess were so kind to invite Jeff and I to be the very first ones into the beautiful decorated, food filled hall.

THE TOAST!  Hears to Red Wheel Trailer Court!
That is where we all met 40 1/2 years ago.
Mine is the closest drink and I must say that was the very first time I have drank a glass of Champagne before 9AM on a Sunday morning.  Everyone else had the Mimosa, which is Champagne and Orange Juice mixed.  I wanted the full effect.
The hostess was so sweet and had a table ready for the six of us. As you will notice latter, Mitch and Jeff changed places to sit across from their wives.  The sign I am making is not a gang sign but the Hawaiian "HANG LOOSE"  Shake thumb and little finger and normally with fingers down.  I had it wrong.

The Fruit table.
Psalm 145:15 - 16
The eyes of all look to You and You give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.  v18  The Lord is near to all who call on him to all who call on him in truth.

These pictures show the beautiful presentation of all the delicious foods.  They even had home made Ice Cream and toppings.

The Chef with the big Breakfast Ham and Prime Rib.

The Dessert table

Yummy Rolls and Breads.

Jeff and Arnie at the eggs, bacon, sausage and more table.

I din't take anything from this table, it was the  "FISHY"  table.

Betsy and Val at the egg, bacon, sausage and more table.  Mitch is waiting his turn.

Cheese table
I know I didn't get pictures of all the food but after all,  i had to eat too!  Don't worry,  I got more then enough food, like 5 times as much as my normal breakfast.
Lots of delicious food.

Mitch loves to eat so this was about heaven for him!

This is one of Jeffs plates of food.  He tried a little of almost everything even if he didn't know what it was.  He said that is what a Brunch buffet is for.    I did manage to taste a bit of his "Fishy" weird stuff.
This was my last plate,  yummy dessert.
Below is our fun hostess with a great friendly personality.  She and Betsy next to me are both giving the "Hang Loose" Hawaiian sign.

If you are wondering about that orange colored drink,
  it is Guava juice.

Some of us had never seen a "GUAVA" fruit, so a sweet waitress went to get a couple GUAVA to show us and then she even let us keep them to eat the fruit at a latter time. Very nice!

Sunday afternoon we took the bus to the Aloha Stadium for a gigantic flea market.   From the bus, I snapped a picture of this very different Hawaii Duck bus or boat or trolley,
whatever it is, it was cute.

This was a "Kodak"  moment, right under the big Honolulu street sign where the bus dropped us off about a block from the Aloha Stadium entrance.

Aloha Stadium is currently home to the University of
Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football team

This is the flea market.  There were double rows of venders all around the stadium.  Needless to say we had a ball but only made it about 1/4th way around.

The bus ride back to the Hale Koa Hotel.  Jeff and I were in the way back.
After such a full day on Sunday,  we slept in on Monday.   We met our friends in the lobby and enjoyed a cup of cappuccino coffee.  There were a few more arts and craft venders. That had to be the first time I have seen a Manichean with a tattoo.  Turns out the vendor was a well known artist who created Polynesian Art for t-shirts, tattoos etc.  I loved his work and he could hardly speak English.
We has a lovely refreshing walk in the beautiful gardens of the Hotel grounds.

As we walked around in God's beautiful creation, looking at the trees, the ocean, the grass, the flowers, I couldn't help but think of Psalm 96.  Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;  let the sea resound, and all that is in it;  let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy,  they will sing before the Lord, for he comes,  he comes to judge the earth.  . .

Coconuts up high.
The ocean and powerful waves.

We found this very popular fragrant Hawaiian flower on the ground.  It is a Plumeria and blossoms at the tops of dead looking trees.  I took the picture showing our very fancy nails that we had so much fun, giggles and laughs creating.
 Aren't they beautiful?
 Cheese Burger Waikiki.

The six of us walked to Cheese Burger Waikiki for noon lunch.  I only got this one picture but the open air restaurant was all decorated with antiques and old time original Hawaiian things.

Our friends had some down time and did some laundry while Jeff and I went swimming in the ocean. I guess I was doing most of the "in water " since Jeff thought it was still a bit cold.  I thought it was great and I enjoyed letting the waves wash up against me.
Just to prove we really did get in the ocean.

Those real big waves would about tip me over.
Here is a short video of the ocean waves on the sand.  I love listening to the waves and watching the foot prints disappear.
Jeff and I enjoyed a couple hours of sun, water, sand and fun.  Then we had a salad for supper.
After supper, us girls got together at the end of our hotel floor lobby to decorate our floppy hats with the flowers we found at the flea market on Sunday afternoon.

These following pictures are just a few of our attempt at selfies.  ENJOY!

We had so much fun, laughed so hard we cried.  My friends are still looking for a "cell phone" with those very special buttons like my cell phone had!
