Spring rain!

This is my garden, It is all coming up and this side was plated early April 30th, The last planting was May 20th just before it started to rain, rain and more rain.
Many people did not get their gardens planted yet and with water setting it looks like it will be awhile. I left room to transplant cabbage and plant more rows of sweet corn.
Tomatoes are OK but will grow much better when we get some sun shine. This is volunteer lettuce and it has done so well, we had fresh garden lettuce yesterday!
More rain. I think we have had 7 or 8 inch's of rain in the last week to 10 days. Look at these clouds, Just minutes later they dumped lots of rain, wind and hail over the North part of our city. We were happy it missed us. Our youngest daughter got caught in it and has many little hail dents in their van. They actually got the snow plows out to plow the inch's of hail off the roads and interstate. We have had a very dry 7 or 8 years and this moisture is such a great blessing from God who brings the rain. The lakes are starting to fill as they were all under half capacity.

My chives are starting to bloom.
This is a snow ball bush my oldest daughter gave me several years ago and WOW! This year they are so full of huge blossoms.

You can tell from this picture how big these snow balls are this year. It is also so green out and the lawn will be a foot high before we can get it mowed. Hope you are all enjoying your spring.
