The Senior Prom

May 9th was a fun evening at the senior prom. Our youth group from church had had a youth prom a week ago for the local high school kids.
They then decided why not have a prom for our seniors, (the older people) So they did. It was a fund raiser for them and the charge was only $5 per person. I think there might have been about 60 people there.
You can see how beautifully it was decorated. This was the Punch, coffee and pie table.

This was the area for picture taking. There was even a volunteer photographer to take pictures of couples.

The tables were set up and decorated so nice with candles, bowl of mixed nuts and chocolate kisses on each table.

A lot of fun was had by all from the
youngest,

to the oldest!

There were people in their 20's up to their 80's!

The DJ played music from years gone by, polka, waltz, and two step.

" Come on lets twist again, like we did last summer!"

Doing the shuffle!

Lets do the Hoky-Poky!
and turn yourself around!
That's what it's all about!

The bird dance and even the bunny hop!

Line dance. You can tell the men didn't care to try this one.
Notice the disco ball and the pretty reflected colors.

The lady to the right is 83 years old and danced most every dance.
She had a great time as did most that were there.
This was the first time for a senior prom but maybe if they try it again next year there will be even more people to enjoy it.
